Organic Sea Kelp For Chickens -- Orange Yolks?!

Kelp grows in oceans off coastlines across the world. This plant is classified botanically as brown algae. It offers both humans and CHICKENS a rich source of essential minerals and vitamins.  Since kelp depends on seawaters for its nourishment, it is loaded with excellent nutrients. 

Kelp contains potassium,, magnesium, phosphorous, calcium, sodium, zinc and iron.  It also contains amino acids and vitamins C, D, A, B1, B2, E, B12 and K.

The kelp can also be given to day old chickens - since it can help stop the spread of coccidiosis .  Older spoiled  chickens may turn their beaks up at the taste of kelp (like some people!) but we suggest sneaking it into their feed by  adding 1/4 cup to their feed when you are filling up their feeders
